Don't waste another second of your day!

I couldn't wait to share with you today. Today's thought came as I was studying on my daughter's birthday. She was so upset because just one street over from her townhouse there was a murder of an amazing student that was well known in their college town. She was so sad because here she was to be celebrating her birthday but couldn't because this wonderful young man was being mourned by her and so many others! God immediately took me to this scripture that I am sharing with you today!
So teach us to number our days, that we may get us a heart of wisdom. ~Psalms 90:12
It's so simple. We must learn and understand to number our days! This really hit my heart hard as I was trying to comfort Kaylee. You may have heard that we are not promised tomorrow but it is true and it is a fact-- tomorrow is a gift from God! My heart just broke for the young man killed because his life was cut short of living life to the fullest down here. It made me really ask myself, "Do I truly number my days?"
My heart cries out for those that lose their lives too early. My heart also is burdened for the many that fill their today with yesterday's events, thoughts, and failures. My one desire for all is to make sure that we live today, the present, and the NOW to the fullest. Also I pray that we seek God with all of our heart's and ask for His wisdom in every area of life. I just don't want any of us to miss today because we truly may not have tomorrow!
My challenge this week is: ask yourself if you are living for today? Are you bringing yesterday's pains, disappointments, failures, or events into today? Are you truly seeking God for today's daily bread? My prayer for all of us is that we become more aware of how valuable our today is and how tomorrow is a gift. I pray that we can start each day in God's amazing new mercies and seek Him with all of our hearts. Then and only then will we live each day in complete surrender to God's will and plans for every day of our lives. Remember this one thought today: we all have an expiration date so make sure to make the most of every second of every day giving God glory and bringing other's closer to Him!
I will be praying for all of you this week! I love each of you! Please send my any prayer requests that you may have. I would love to hear your thoughts on what today's message meant to you. Have a Lively week!
